Additional Information
WHAT? HealthWorks Kids Museum Field Trip
DETAILS? The HealthWorks Kids Museum is a very innovative, interactive experience for learning about many of the basic, necessary functions of the human body. The Museum offers interesting displays for active participation. We will see an introductory video (about 10 minutes in length), there will be a program called Double Dare and there will be time to ask questions, guidance through the various exhibits and more time to explore the Museum on your own!
HealthWorks! Double Dare! TM (Grades 3-5, 60 minutes) We double-dare you to sit still during this wild and rollicking look at the amazing human body! Students take a fast look at six different body systems* with facts that are backed up with fun and unforgettable physical challenge “interactivities”. Students will have an opportunity to “come on down” and, if the wheel is on their side, the teachers and chaperones might too! (*bones, muscles, heart, kidney, digestion, lungs)
My recommendation is that the Museum is set up for grade school age children, maybe for some up to age 10 or so. However, the Museum can be enjoyed at many different learning levels, even older siblings that could help their brothers and sisters understand the exhibits and join in for some family-time fun. It even looks enjoyable for parents as well. Parents should go to the website for additional information and to view other requirements/rules at the Museum. https://www.hwstl.org/
