Join us for our annual trip to the Eckert's Fun Farm to pick apples!
On Friday, September 23rd at noon!
This is always a fun trip. I’ve chosen the time of 12 noon because by then, hopefully, all the school tours leave a little after noon and we will have more eating space for us when we get back from the wagon ride! However, feel free to bring a blanket for additional picnic seating. You can also come and go to your car to get lunches and items.
The reason I choose this location every year is because there is so much to do for a wide range of ages. However, I highly recommend that you bring friends with you. It is an opportunity to make new homeschooling friends, but sometimes we all get separated out in the orchards and it's often difficult to find someone because the farm is large. I've often meant to speak with a new family, but could never find them once we got back from the orchards. So to make it more fun for your children, I'd bring friends and make a point of staying together. Just a thought.....

***IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION: Eckert’s has a new system this year for purchasing tickets. We have reserved 70 children’s tickets (adults do not pay). This number was based on how many attended apple picking last fall. I do not have to pay for any tickets that are not sold. Kelly Keilholz will be paying at the door for the number of tickets that I have sold. If you are late, Kelly will have your name on your tickets and leave them at the front gate. But try not to be late...it's so much fun to ride the wagon together! If you decide to join us and have not pre-paid for a ticket from me, you will have to buy your own at the door, and the price will probably be higher.
*COST: $8 per child and includes all the activities listed above, plus a small bag of apples.
*Adults are FREE and may pick apples by the pound--$8 (I think—it was last year’s price) for a five-pound bag which you pay for before you hop on the wagon.
*Children under age 2 do not pay unless they are picking apples for their own bags.
*If grandparents are not riding the wagon but just meeting you at the park, they do not have to pay to get in either, but they must be with our group when I pay. They also do not pay as adults.
*Additional shopping and food options are available for both children and adults for additional fees.
*Time: Be there by 12:00 noon…that’s when our wagon leaves.
Allow at least 3 hours for this tour, but we can stay the entire day.

You only pay for children who will be picking apples. You do not have to list babies or those who will not be getting a bag for apples.
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT WRITE PARENT NAME IN AT THE BEGINNING OF SIGN-UP. ANY NAME LISTED WILL BE SEE BY PAYPAL AS A PAYING PERSON. SO AT THE BEGINNING OF SIGN-UP, MAKE SURE THAT ONLY A CHILD WHO WILL BE PICKING APPLES IS LISTED FIRST. THEN LIST THE REST OF THEM.
