Mrs. Lisa Laidley To All Instructors
Hello! I'm Lisa Laidley and I've been an educator for 30 years, including home educating my children). My family is originally from the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, and we moved to New York City in 1983, then eventually to St. Louis when I was in high school. In Aruba, I grew up speaking four languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, and the local language called Papiamento. I graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1995 with a degree in Special Education and taught full time for 26 years. I began teaching high school Spanish for a large Christian school seven years ago, and truly enjoy teaching the Spanish language along with the cultural awareness that goes along with learning new languages! I am looking forward to teaching Spanish again at Homelink and to providing a fun and productive learning experience for my students.
