Penny Long To All Instructors

Greetings everyone!

I have been a lifelong learner…….starting with a B.S. in Communications from the University of Illinois, followed by a M.S. in Crop Science more specifically Plant Pathology. I worked for the University of Missouri as a county extension agronomist designing and presenting education programs. Always a lover of science, nature and being outdoors!

In 2001 I graduated from Missouri Western with a B.S. in Nursing and am an active Registered Nurse for an adult day care in Webster Groves.

Eight plus years ago I began a journey of transformation starting with large changes in what I was putting in and on my body, as well as feeding my mind and soul. The Nutrition 101 book I discovered at the homeschool convention puts into words perfectly so much I want to share with others on own their journey.

In 2022, I completed a program with the author Alan Cohen to become a Certified Holistic Life Coach which incorporates health and well being on so many levels. I enjoy Qigong at sunrise and am the Corresponding Secretary on the church council at Redeemer Church in South City.

In addition, my son Gus (whom some of you already have the pleasure of knowing) and I have a bit of an obsession with Lewis & Clark. We have traveled as far as Fort Mandan, North Dakota and plan to travel the trail across Montana this summer……nature, hiking, history, science, rivers…..what more could one want!
